Summer in California

Lauren and I started our epic summer adventure on May 31st and didn't stop until we arrived home on August 1st. With 6,000 miles on the rental car and probably over 10,000 pictures - we can say it was a success. Many people have said we inspired them to go travel and we're flattered that we can share our love of the outdoors with our followers. Going and seeing all nine national parks in California has been a dream for both of us to do, so we saved everything we had and we took off running (or driving).

We started in Northern California and made our way down the coast. We ate lots of PBJ's and ramen noodles. There were tacky road side attractions to see, bears at camp to run away from, lakes to be swam in, and lots of breweries to enjoy. We joked about writing a book together about our journey and it doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.
